What is the EDI Advance Ship Notice - 856 No Pack File Structure?
Tatum Consulting may send EDI 856 sales shipping notifications to your clients. The Shipment, Order, Item, and Lot/Serial rows are all included in the No Pack file structure.
"No Pack" is a less typical format for the Tatum Consulting EDI Advance Ship Notice. Regardless of the contents of cartons, the No Pack ASN is relatively straightforward and can be applied to any shipment. Only the shipment summary data and the products included in the shipment are included in this ASN format. For the cartons, no information is given.

- The first row in an Advance Ship Notice is the Shipment Row (Row Type "S"). The shipping address, carrier, service, total weight, and other summary information are all included in the shipment row.
- For each sales order included in the shipment, Sales Order Rows (Row Type "O") are created. Tatum Consulting does enable consolidated, multi-order shipments, although the majority of shipments only contain one sales order.
